A GOD ENCOUNTER

‘Woe to me!’ I cried. ‘I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.’
— ISAIAH 6:5 (NIV)

God is not “out to get you.” Jesus doesn’t want to be part of your life to condemn you or punish you. He doesn’t want you to place your relationship with Him on hold because of the judgmental thing a Christian said to you or for what the church didn’t do for you. God wants a chance to show you how much He loves you and exactly why He created you. When you have a God encounter, it is then He is able to help you become what He purposed in you.

A great way to encounter God is through prayer and the study of His word. While you can do these two things alone, God wants you to join a body of believers in a corporate setting to worship Him. Don’t go shopping for the perfect church, because it doesn’t exist. Instead, allow God to lead you where He wants you. In this worship setting, you will see and feel the Spirit of God encompass you. In the presence of His righteousness He will reveal to you the things He wants to help you fix in your life. Don’t waste time trying to fix you yourself. (If you could, I hope you would have by now.) Instead, allow the word of God to order your steps and direct your path to a new and improved you. He’s waiting to show you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing Your Spirit to cleanse me. I see You in all Your righteousness and want You to order my steps and direct my path. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
