Ever hear people say, “It’s human nature” when they make a mistake? They blame their fault on the idea that they are only human and bound to do wrong. Well, I agree, that it is because of our human state we give into sin, but our natural state originally was of God’s design and He created us in His image to be like Him and do things of Him.
God wants to give you everything you need that pertains to a godly life. We aren’t perfect and can never be God, but He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them we may participate in His divine nature. And when we walk godly in this divine nature we escape the corruption in the world because our evil desires no longer appeal to us. After all, what can be better than a life spent in God surrounded by His goodness?
