“But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have works.’ Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and tremble. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without works is dead?”
Our daily actions are driven by faith. Whether you recognize it, acts we carry out every day, or do routinely, are only because we’ve done it before or have seen it done. When you sat in your chair, did you check first to see if it would hold your weight? When you started your car today, did you check first to see if the battery was good? If the key would fit the ignition? I bet you didn’t even look to see if you were holding the right key! You sat in your chair and started your car because you have faith they would do exactly what they were created to do. We have faith in God, but how often do we put action behind what He said He created us to do?
God wants you to move beyond faith. He wants you to put action behind your prayers and your bible study. When He called you more than a conqueror, He expects you to conqueror fear, debt, weight gain, sexually immortality, gossiping, and things not of Him. When He gave you dominion over everything He created, He wants you to stand boldly, accomplish the unthinkable, and master the impossible.
