“If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”
It’s not that they don’t like you. It’s not that you said anything wrong. It wasn’t your approach or even the clothes you wore. Sometimes, it’s just not your turn to win some for Christ. This doesn’t mean your actions were in vain or the Spirit didn’t use you, but it means God has a plan that you may not be aware of at the time. Keep dusting yourself off and try again.
Try not to take it personally when some people can’t or don’t accept your God message. It could be that He used you so the next believer to come along confirms your words. Don’t feel rejected if Christ chooses you to plant the seed. Laying the foundation is key in successfully building new converts. So when God uses you in His process of planting seeds or watering the seeds, make sure you’re ready for your turn.
