Stop Trippin'

Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.
— 1 JOHN 2:10 (NIV)

Ever trip over something that wasn’t even there? You stumble, and hopefully after catching yourself from the fall, you look behind you only to see nothing was there. You tripped because it was something you did, like not picking your foot up high enough or maybe you didn’t tie your shoelace.

Sometimes you can trip over nothing in life by holding unforgiveness in your heart. It can be hard to let go of the hurt someone caused you, but remember, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness. It’s not your brother or sister, but the spirit over them that caused you hurt. Forgive them today and stop tripping.  Jesus has something to tell you, but you can’t hear Him for the unforgiveness in your heart that’s blocking His voice. I don’t know about you, but it’s nothing so bad I want to hold on to that prevents me from hearing my Jesus! Plus, if you really think about it, you’re probably tripping over nothing.
