What Do You See?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
— HEBREWS 11:1 (KJV)

Stephen Covey has a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The second habit he presents is to Begin With The End In Mind. He writes, “Habit 2 is based on imagination--the ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes… If you don't make a conscious effort to visualize who you are and what you want in life, then you empower other people and circumstances to shape you and your life by default.”

What do you see when you look over your life? Do you like you? Do you like where you are? Have you planned what your next five years will look like and made steps towards it? When God created you, He had a plan for your life. He created you to be the head and not the tail. Christ said you’d do greater things than He did. But without faith, these are just silly words. The only way you can make a conscious effort in visualizing who you are and what you want in life is to believe through faith God wants these things for you and by His strength you can achieve them. If you don’t take control over your life, it’s inevitable someone else will.

Heavenly Father, I have faith in your plan for my life. I will bring into existence what I visualize my life to be through Your Word. I am what You see. I will take control of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
