Mission Statement

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…
— ISAIAH 61:1 (NIV)

Every business, company, corporation has a mission statement. Mission statements are important because they guide the actions of a business and determine what goals they should strive to achieve. They also provide direction and enables organizations to make good decisions for their future and those they will effect because of their existence. Today’s scripture is often referred to as the mission statement for Jesus. When He was tempted by Satan, it wasn’t even a challenge. But, Jesus already knew why He existed, His goal, and what He had to do to get there. No force outside of His mission could influence Him. Christ was focused.

What’s your mission statement? Do you know what your goals are and the path necessary to get there? Are you tossed around easily when outside forces try to influence you against your purpose? If you have a mission statement, make sure it aligns perfectly with God and His purpose for your life. If you don’t have one, it’s never too late to get one. Go to Christ and ask for direction. Knowing the do’s and don’ts of life make navigating this crazy world that much easier.

Less problems. More solutions.
