When you were born, God purposed you with a mission to complete on earth. It’s a gift so perfect that He entrusted only you with it. Jesus knew while you were discovering, perfecting, and executing this mission, you’d be tested and tried by the evil one. When you are tested and tried, don’t forget it’s all part of the plan. The testing and trying only makes you stronger and the success of your mission that much more of a blessing to the world. This is why God doesn’t take you out of the world when trouble comes. You’re needed here. Instead of removing you from the trouble and evil of the world, Jesus prays to His father for your protection.
Evil has no power over you while Jesus is praying for you. It only has the power you give it or allow it. God is protecting you from backbiters and backstabbers. From rumors and gossip. From murderers and thieves. From dangers seen and unseen. Instead of allowing evil to distract you, focus on discovering, perfecting, and executing your mission while you are covered by godly protection. That’s how you destroy evil.
