Trust in the Lord

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
— PROVERBS 3:5 (NIV)

There are some things going on in your life you may not understand. You may be waiting patiently for your breakthrough, someone’s heart or mind to change concerning you, or struggling with health issues. You may be past the point of receiving good advice or comforting words from others and on the verge of asking God, “Why me Lord?” You’re constantly reminding yourself you know ways to band aid or quick fix your problem, but you keep hearing a small voice telling you, “Wait on me.”

As you prepare for your holiday weekend, encourage yourself that God is mindful of your situation and you can trust He will work everything out for your good. It’s tempting to lean to your own ways and understanding. But when you trust God and allow your faith to be tested, the type of spiritual patience you need will be produced. And when this patience has been produced, you will be made perfect and complete, lacking nothing. You may have been dealing with your situation a long time. It’s hard. It’s painful. You’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. But remember, God knows how much you can take and won’t allow you to go through something He knows you can’t handle. He’ll never leave you or forsake you. He knows you can survive this. Trust God to see you through your situation. He has big plans for you.

Wait and see!
