Your Time Has Come

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.
— JOHN 16:21 (NIV)

Childbirth is amazing to me. First, there was two people, now there’s three! (Sometimes more!) The work and pain the mother experiences while in labor is intense, but as soon as the baby is birthed all is forgotten. The pain, pushing, sweating, and yelling is silenced by the joy of what God has brought into this world.

God has placed a gift in you to birth as well. There may be sweat from the work and crying from the pain of perfecting this gift, but when your time has come to unleash your gift, the Devil in hell won’t be able to stop you! So ready your spirit to deal with the labor pains of church folk shooting down your ideas while sticking to their traditions. Push past the words of people who tell you it’ll never work. Prepare for birthing the gift within you and the joy God promised to come with it. Your time isn’t coming. Your time is now.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift You placed in me. With it may come pain, but I know Your joy will overcome it. My labor is not in vain. Thank You for Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
