“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.”
God promised Abraham that He would make him the father of many nations. He promised him that he’d be fruitful and that kings would come from him. Abraham loved and remained faithful to God. He kept the Lord’s commandments as he continued to serve God, knowing God would keep His covenant. It wasn’t until Abraham (then Abram) was 99 years old, however, that God revealed His faithfulness.
God is faithful. There’s no challenge in that. The challenge is are you willing to remain faithful, love God, and keep His commandments until He reveals Himself to you? In this microwave world, we want what we want now. But God’s time is not like our time. Until God reveals Himself to you, use your time wisely. Love Him. Serve Him. Learn the covenant He’s made with you so you will recognize when it is revealed. The day God reveals His promise to you is right around the corner! Don’t give up on God, because He won’t give up on you.
