I Want the Truth

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
— 1 TIMOTHY 2:3-4 (NIV)

At some point in life, everyone searches for truth. You may want to know the truth behind how you should live your life, who you should listen to, or even what to believe.  Your ideas of what’s pleasing to God may come into question the more spiritual leaders speak, political figures rant, and your friends express their opinions. But what does God say about what pleases Him?

God wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. It doesn’t matter what they did yesterday, are doing today, or where they go tomorrow, Jesus wants them. As believers, it’s our jobs to allow Christ to use us to expose all people to His truth. We can’t be the light of the world Jesus wants us to be by passing judgment on people who may be stumbling in the dark. People want the truth and it’s not up to us to determine who receives it based on what we think of their lifestyles. If God can love all people, what’s stopping us?

Can you handle the truth?

Heavenly Father, forgive me for judging others that may be different than me. I want to please You by being Your ambassador and helping those who may not know You come to the knowledge of Your truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
