In this temporary temple God dwells in called the human body, unexpected setbacks can come at you pretty fast. It could be anything from the loss of a loved one or a surgery you hadn’t planned for, to layoffs on your job or replacing a battery in your car you hadn’t budgeted for. No matter how minute or complex the situation, the unexpected can instantly turn your sunshiny day to one filled with dark clouds and rain. But I want to encourage you today to keep your head up and push through it because the testimony God wants to give you on the other side of your storm is priceless!
Whatever you’re facing or going through does not compare with the glory God wants to reveal in you. The health, pain, or financial constraints you are presently suffering are temporary, but the victory in Christ awaiting you is eternal. So don’t just pray the clouds in your life away, but speak to them as well. Speak to them through your pain, through your confusion, through your faithfulness, and tell them to move! You are more than a conqueror, capable of doing all things through Christ who strengthens you. Instead of focusing on your present sufferings, start practicing your testimony.
