“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
As children of God we are led by His spirit. According to John 6:63, the words that God speaks are full of spirit. The more you read His word, the more you feed and train your spirit to become more God-like. As a human being, your emotions can heavily influence how you react in different situations and how you respond to people. Therefore, it is important you have enough of God’s word – spirit – in you to guide your mind and control your tongue.
The spirit will remind you what is pleasing to God. It will help you remember your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Asa child of God, prepare each day to be led by His spirit by reading His word daily.
