“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
Sometimes I don’t even know why I bother to jot down what I plan to do at work. Seems as though Monday mornings have a mind of their own! I have one thing planned, but my boss has another. When I’m not able to do the things I wanted to at work because something else more important came up, I feel disappointed and a lack of accomplishment. But if I made my plans align with those of my boss, perhaps my Mondays would have a different outcome.
Make sure your plans align with your heavenly boss – Jesus. I suggest the reason you sometimes feel purposeless, disappointed, or lack of accomplishment is because you may not be doing what God purposed you for. If what you’re doing isn’t fulfilling, take the time today to make sure it’s what Christ wants you to do. Go to God in prayer. Be sure Jesus isn’t just your co-pilot, but the one who’s behind the wheel.
