Belief in Action

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
— James 2:19 (NIV)

Before you sat down in your chair at work today, did you inspect it to make sure it wouldn’t break when you sat in it? No? What about when you used your GPS to locate the hotel you stayed in during vacation? Did you advance the steps to make sure it was taking you to the correct location? No? Perhaps you didn’t second-guess these activities because you believed they would do what they were designed to do. Well, as believers, we also have to believe God will do all that He said He would do.

It’s not enough to believe there is one God, but you also have to put this belief into action. When you exercise your faith, you put your belief into action. Believe that God made you the head and not the tail. Believe that He will supply all your needs. But, be sure your actions support this belief. Faith without works is dead. God is capable of unlocking the impossible in your life, but your faith is the key.

Believe. Act. Faith.
