Gain When You've Lost

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling.
— Psalm 68:5 (NIV)

Experiencing the loss of a loved one can be really tough. The memories you’ve shared often come flooding back, and it seems like everything reminds you of the person. The mere thought of moving forward with your life can appear as disrespect to their legacy, but praise be to God, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so we can comfort others with the comfort we ourselves receive from Him. When you experience loss, remember God is in His holy dwelling and is all-powerful. He will be what you need in your time of trouble and pain. Call upon Him and He will answer you with the strength, understanding, and love you need to get through.
