Give A Blessing

…Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
— LUKE 6:38 (NIV)

A good way to show someone you care is by giving. It does not always have to be monetary, although “money answereth all things” (Ecclesiastes 10:19). Today’s scripture may remind you of offering on Sunday, and that’s ok, but it’s not the only way you can give a blessing. Scripture says God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Luke chapter 6 talks about how we are to treat one another, and verse 38 explains how we are blessed from our actions.

If you feel you are in need of a blessing, give a blessing. When you give to others, Christ says it will be given to you. And when Christ blesses you, it’s not anything to sneeze at – oh no! He blesses you with good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. God wants to pour blessings into your lap, but He also says the measure you use in giving to others will be measured to you. So when you’re in need of a blessing, be a blessing.
