What A Friend We Have

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.’ You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
— JAMES 2:23 – 24 (NIV)

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. When you have faith in God, your actions change from doing and expecting normal things in your life, to doing and expecting supernatural blessings in your life. With faith, you believe God is in control of everything. Your outward appearance and actions begin to reflect this way of life your heart and mind have taken on.

In today’s scripture, Abraham didn’t achieve righteousness by faith alone, but also by his actions. When your actions align with your faith people will call you God’s friend. Your thoughts are of God. Your faith is in God. Your actions please God. As God’s friend, doors that were closed to you will become open. Blessings will chase you down and overtake you. Exercise your faith and find out what a friend you have in Jesus.
