I know it hurt. I know you don’t understand why they did it to you or did it at all. You didn’t see it coming and never would have expected that from them. And when you see them, it just brings back all the painful memories, disgust, and disappointment as if they just did it yesterday. But you know what? If God can forgive them, so can you!
God wants us to forgive one another just as He forgave you when He offered His Son, Jesus, for the debt of our sins. Instead of holding grudges, He says to be kind and compassionate to one another. It takes so much energy to remember who you’re not talking to this week or why you don’t like someone today. Try using that same energy to forgive that person and be kind to them. That’s where your blessing is.
