“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Ever have one of those days when nothing goes right? The times where you just have to throw your hands up and say, “Why me Lord!”
Jesus forewarned that in this world we would have trouble. Without trouble sprinkled here or there, we may not be able to fully appreciate the good God has done for us. Moreover, He allows us to experience this trouble to mold us into what He needs us to become. But, while you’re experiencing difficult times, He’s right there with you, ushering His peace to you.
Even when it doesn’t seem like it, God is with you. It may feel like the world is knocking you around and delivering its best blows, but Jesus says, “Take heart!” He’s still in control, and is more than capable of bringing you out of your current situation. So when trouble comes your way, begin to thank God. He’s about to show you something great on the inside of you that you didn’t know existed.
Just hold on a little longer
“Heavenly Father, You are ruler over the heavens and the earth. In You is where I will find protection from this world. I can rest knowing You are in control and will guide me through periods of troubling time. I receive your peace today! In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
