It Wasn't Me

Yet we who have this spiritual treasure are like common clay pots, in order to show that the supreme power belongs to God, not to us.
— 2 Corinthians 4:7 (GNT)

“Congratulations!” your friends replied to your Facebook post about your new job.

“That’s incredible!” they said when you told them you quit smoking.

“Keep up the good work!” “That’s awesome!” “I don’t know how you did it!” “Yayyyy!”

Jesus is proud of you too! He’s your biggest supporter, and loves to see your accomplishments. God granted us His power and gifted each of us with unique abilities to do great things that glorify Him. Yet, it’s important that we remain humble and make sure God is celebrated in our success—big or small.

Some may secretly question how you were able to accomplish something so great or so difficult. Others will look to you as an example of hope or inspiration. But Jesus will look at you and thank you for showing the world the power of His Father, which otherwise would not have been witnessed without you. So…what’s next on your agenda to blow the world’s mind?

I can’t do it without You

Gracious God, I thank You for showing yourself strong through me. I know You are not finish with me, and I ask that You continue to use me in a mighty way to remind the world of Your presence, power, and love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
