Activate Your Faith

Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted the armies of the living God.
— 1 Samuel 17:36 (NASB)

“Please be encouraged. This is not the first storm you’ve been through. You’ve been through worst. You didn’t come this far just to lose.”

Today’s scripture reminds me of the above lyrics from the song, “Same God,” by Tye Tribbett. Sometimes the storms and battles we face seem impossible to overcome. When David was going into battle against Goliath, he reminded himself of his past victories against the lion and the bear. Instead of being afraid, David used these experiences to increase his confidence to the point where he knew that with God, he would have success. Failure would not be an option.

When you’re faced with adversity in life, activate your faith as David did. Recall those things that God has already brought you through. Your faith in God will grow as you go with God. The scripture says faith without works is dead. God didn’t bring you this far in life to take His hand off you. Keep challenging the impossible and overcoming the obstacles. It’s in you. Exercise your faith.

If He did it before…

Thank You God for seeing me through all my battles. You have led me into victory and cause me to triumph. I will continue to walk in faith and nothing for me will be impossible. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
