Life is always moving full steam ahead and if we’re not careful, we could miss out on some important things in life. Our calendars are full on our computers and smartphones with things to do. Appointment after appointment. Meeting after meeting. Go, go, go! It starts with rushing so much that you forget to bless your food before you eat on the way to your next meeting. Next, you wake up rushed because you oversleep and forget to pray because you’re late to your next appointment. You’ve become so busy that you’re too busy for God.
God wants you to take time out your hectic schedule to give all your attention to Him. He will present circumstances in your life that force you to stop what you’re doing, lie down, and acknowledge Him. You didn’t lose your job, God replaced it so you’d see Him. Lie down. Your friends didn’t leave you, God replaced them so you’d spend more time with Him. Lie down. Take time to make God a priority in your daily schedule. He wants to lead you to places you normally wouldn’t go on your own.

“Heavenly Father, thank You for making me lie down in Your presence. I know You will lead me and guide where You want me to be in life. I love and trust You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
