He Knows What I Want

23rd Psalm Series - Day 1

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
— Psalm 23:1 (KJV)

God has promised to supply all your needs. When you have faith in His promise, it decreases the amount of anxiety in your life worrying what will become of your life. Just as sheep rely on their shepherd to guide them, so should you allow the Lord. Sheep don't question where their shepherd leads them or the plan he has for them. They trust their shepherd with their very lives, and so should we.

When David wrote, "I shall not want," it was because he knew God would not allow him lack in anything. This also meant that he would not want another shepherd. God was all he wanted. Believe that every want you desire can be found in your shepherd, Jesus Christ. The more you grow in Christ and live for God, the more His wants will become your wants.

Not a care in the world

Lord, thank You for being my shepherd. I have not a want in this world, nor do I want another shepherd. You are all I want. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
— This is my prayer
