I'm a Survivor

27th Psalm Series - Day 3

Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
— Psalm 27:3 (NIV)

When it rains, it pours. Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse, it does. When you take two steps forward, you’re pushed three steps back. War can break out in your life at any time. Whether it be caused by you, or the fault of others, it’s never pleasant. In the same year, I went through a divorce and lost my 401K, my leadership role in my church, and friendships I had for years. It’s one thing to go through one life issue, but what do you do when you have to face multiple issues all at once? You survive.

Even when war breaks out against you, God still wants your heart free of fear. He wants you to be confident in His ability to deliver you through whatever mess you’re in or created. It matters not the situation or who’s involved. Your Jesus is bigger than any army attempting to overtake you. Remove the fear of what’s in front of you by exercising your confidence to see what God has set before you – a way out of no way.

You make all things new

Gracious Father in Heaven, You are mightier than any army that comes against me. In You, all fear in my heart is removed. In the toughest times in my life, I have confidence that You are still able to deliver and keep me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
— This is my prayer
