There have been more mass shootings than days passed this year. Senseless murders, violence, and acts against God are happening all around us. Human nature would have us seek revenge and pay violence with violence, but as followers of Christ we cannot allow sinful nature to control our minds because it only leads to more death. Therefore, we have to stay in control by letting the Spirit rule our minds. This is key in healing our land and leading us to life and peace. Evil cannot be fought in the physical. It is in the Spirit we have all power and can truly make change.

Heavenly Father, I can only do all things through You. I know You are still in control and on the throne. I will let Your Spirit control my mind leading me to life and peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
