Make the Move

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
— EPHESIANS 4:32 (NLT)

You know how the saying goes: “Holding on to unforgiveness is like drinking poison expecting to kill the other person.” What that means is when you don’t forgive someone, you’re not hurting them, you’re only hurting yourself. When you hold unforgiveness it’s hard to hold God’s hand. Jesus wants you to forgive as He did. When Christ forgave people that acted against Him, they didn’t get over on Christ. Instead, God raised Christ above them. Likewise, God wants to raise you above those that may have hurt you or done wrong by you. But before God can move, you have to make the move. Forgive that person in your life and God will exalt you.

Heavenly Father, I will no longer allow unforgiveness to prevent me from holding Your hand and hearing Your voice. I forgive those who have hurt me and done wrong by me. I trust You to protect me and exalt me above my enemies. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is my prayer
