“Yes, ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it!”
In the fourteenth chapter of John, we get to eavesdrop on a conversation Jesus was having with Philip. Jesus drops one of my favorite promises in scripture during this talk. Christ said that anyone who believes in Him will do the same works He has done, and even greater works, because Jesus was going to be with the Father. Then Jesus followed up with the promise that we could ask for anything in His name, and that He would do it!

I always wondered what “greater works” looked like because Jesus did some great things while on earth. I thought, “How can I do greater than Christ?” The answer is simply placed in the scripture: Ask Christ. In order for you and me to do greater works, Jesus has to do it through us! If you need the power to overcome a generational curse – ask Christ. If you desire your relationship to be successful – ask Christ. If you want to do greater works or something bigger than yourself – ask Christ. Let Him do it through you.
