There are some things people can’t convince you otherwise about. No one can tell you what your name is. You’ve been saying it and spelling it for years. No one can tell you what your home address is. It’s the house that you live in every day! If someone tried to convince you otherwise, you would probably say that the matter was not up for debate because you are 100% sure you are correct.

You know what else is not up for debate? God’s truth! When God’s word is revealed to you, He sets you free. And your freedom is Christ is not up for debate. When God tells you to pray, you don’t have to debate with others about why you do it. When God tells you to give, you don’t have to get the approval of others. What God has told you is for you. No one else has to believe it or understand it. As long as you can find it in His word, it’s not up for debate.
