“Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,
‘I will take revenge; I will pay them back,’ says the Lord.”
Don’t allow anyone or any circumstance to steal your joy. Note the choice of wording I used: “steal.” It’s important that you realize God has given you joy. Joy is already yours. The only way you can lose it is if you allow someone to take it from you. One way you can relinquish your joy to someone else is by seeking revenge.

Seeking revenge can easily take the place of the joy Christ freely gave you and you don’t have time for that! You’re much too busy doing what Jesus is instructing you to do so that you can experience His love, peace, prosperity, and healing. Leave it to the Lord to deal with your enemies. After all, He said that He will take revenge and pay them back. Your job is to focus on Him, not the enemy. You’ll find that God’s plan always works out best.
