“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!”
Yesterday we experienced a moral victory. A victory not only for those that live in this country, but a moral victory for all the world to see. George Floyd’s murderer was found guilty. Justice was served for a crime the entire world witnessed and now – we can exhale. In this instance the verdict was favorable, but as followers of Christ we have to remember what the God of justice has instructed us by His example.

The Lord longs to be gracious toward us and we too must be gracious towards others. As God has showed us compassion, we too must be compassionate towards one another. There is a blessing for those who wait for Him. This wait means to serve Christ; to follow Jesus. Yesterday’s verdict issued healing across our nation. Let us be ready to embrace it with grace and compassion following in the footsteps of our God of justice.
