“He will not let you stumble; the One who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, He who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.”
After work, I look forward to getting in my bed and sleeping as long as I can. While I’m asleep, things are going on all around me. Things that I can’t control, things that may need my attention, but while I’m asleep, for those few hours, they can wait. It’s true that while I am asleep my productivity is at zero, but in order to be productive, I require rest – and so do you. And you can rest in peace knowing our Lord never sleeps.

Jesus never takes an eye off you. Jesus never needs a break. He is always watching over you so that you can be at peace. You’re under His safety. Rest under it. He will not let you stumble. The Lord is mindful of you and everything that is going on around you. And while you may not be able to control things that are happening around you, Jesus can! He’s all powerful. He’s all knowing. He’s always near you.
