Counterfeit money is big business. Criminals have gotten really good at producing fake money. I noticed when bank tellers or cashiers want to identify if money is real or counterfeit, they will hold it up above their heads and look at it in the light. The light helps them identify if it is real money or counterfeit.

If you want to know if something of this world is real or not, hold it up in God’s light. You can trust everything the Lord does as true. So, if you want to know if you should believe in something, follow someone, or do anything, see if you can find it in God’s word first. Hold it up to the light. Is it real love? Hold it up to the light. Are they following Christ? Hold it up to the light. Should I do this or go there? Hold it up to the light. You can trust God and find His fingerprint of love, justice and goodness all throughout the earth. Just take some time to hold it up to the light. He will reveal His truth to you.
