2020 is finally behind us. Last year was a trying year and most of us have set goals or new year resolutions to plan for a better year. But what makes a better year? Who determines if it is good or bad? Is it a good year if we reach our weight goal? Is it a better year if we make a much needed career change? Those things are good to achieve, but wouldn’t it make a great year if we made resolutions to help others?

If 2020 has shown us anything it showed us we have little control over what’s ahead, but what we can control is our actions towards others. This year make a resolution to help someone else, to be kind, and supportive. When we help others, God has a way of helping us. Our problems seem that much smaller and insignificant. Include others in prayer. Check on friends and loved ones. Let’s change our perspectives and have faith God knows our needs so we can focus on meeting the needs of others this year.
