“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
We’ve recently witnessed an event that we won’t forget. An angry mob, incited by the current sitting president, attacked our nation’s capitol, leaving four dead, while delaying the ceremonial acceptance of our newly elected president. It made me wonder: If the devil is busy, I know God is even busier. And as believers, we have a huge part in this too. God laid out a step-by-step plan for us in situations like this.

God tells us in today’s scripture that we (the believer) has to (1) humble ourselves, (2) pray, (3) seek His face, and (4) turn from our wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land. Our land needs healing. We need God’s forgiveness. We want God to be able to hear from heaven on our behalf. In order for that to happen, we (the believer) have to do the first four actions in the scripture. Let’s move into action! Release God to fulfill His promise by humbling ourselves, praying, seeking His face and turning from our wicked ways.
