God is Pleased

And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.’

In Matthew chapter 3 we find Jesus at the Jordan River convincing His cousin, John “The Baptist,” to baptize Him. Jesus told John, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So, John baptized Jesus. And a voice from heaven said, “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.” Before Jesus was crucified. Before Jesus walked on water. Before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Before Christ turned water into wine. God loved Him and God was pleased with Him.

God is pleased with you too. When He formed you in your mother’s womb, He loved you and was pleased with you. You see, there’s nothing you can do to earn God’s love. You already have it. He’s pleased with you before you do what He created you to do. You only need to accept it, walk in it, grow in it and live in it. Christ hadn’t performed any miracles or lived out His purpose yet, but He knew His Son, and that was enough to please God. Likewise, God knows you. He knows your gifts, talents and purpose. Don’t waste another minute waiting for God’s approval. He created you. He knows you. He’s please with you.

Heavenly Father, I am Your child. You love me. You are pleased with me. I will accept this precious gift and walk in it, grow in it and live in it, according to Your Word. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
