“You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.”
A man was going through a restaurant’s drive thru when his daughter noticed a man asking for spare change. “Do you have any spare change,” he asked? The father replied, “No, I’m sorry. I don’t carry cash.” The daughter was saddened. “I wish it was something we could do for him,” she said. “There is!” replied the father. When he placed their order, he added an extra combo meal. He drove back around to the man and blessed him with a full combo meal, rather than the spare change he was asking for.

How many times have you asked God for a small fry when He’s ready to bless you with a whole combo meal? You’re asking Jesus for spare change when He wants to change your life. Don’t ask God for gas money. Ask Him for a car with better gas mileage! Don’t wish for your neighbor’s house. Ask for your own house! You don’t have to scheme or be jealous of the combo meal anyone else has. Jesus has enough for everyone, you only need to ask! Remember not to put limitations on God. If you don’t know what to ask for, just ask Christ to do exceedingly abundant beyond all you could ask or think in your life today and expect Him to do just that!
