Favor of God

Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.
— NEHEMIAH 1:11 (NIV)

Nehemiah was a cupbearer for the king when he received news that the wall back home, Jerusalem, was in ruins. He prayed to God for the king’s favor to allow him to return home to rebuild the wall. In Nehemiah chapter two, the king saw that Nehemiah’s heart was burdened. He asked him what was wrong and what did he need. Before answering, Nehemiah prayed again, then asked for some time off to rebuild the wall. Not only did the king grant him the time, he also gave him papers to assure his safe travels, materials needed to rebuild the wall and an army to assist him.

It’s not the degree. It’s not how much money you have. It’s not your charisma or good looks. Sure, you can do good with all those things, but God didn’t create you to “do good.” God created you to do great! My friend, with God on your side, nothing is impossible. With Jesus, no request is too much. Your promotion doesn’t come from man. It comes from God’s favor. With the favor of God, the impossible can happen in your life. With the favor of God, you’re not just blessed, but blessings find you and overtake you! All you have to do is humble yourself, go before His throne in prayer and ask for the favor of God. Don’t believe me? I dare you to try it!

Highly favored
