Perfect Work

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
— JAMES 1:2 – 4 (NKJV)

I’m not perfect. You’re not perfect. No one is perfect, but Jesus. And even though you and me aren’t perfect, God can still perform a perfect work in our lives. How do you know when God is doing something in your life? How do you know when He’s moving? One way to know is when something happens in your life that you have absolutely no control over and you need to call on the name of Jesus. After you made your mistake. After life happened to you. After you’ve tried to fix it yourself. After you finally realize there’s nothing you can humanly do and remember that you know someone who can. BOOM!

Right in the face of your problem and in your situation, turn it over to Christ. How? By counting it all joy when you fall into various trials. Jesus is putting your faith to the test. This test will produce patience, because while you may want whatever you’re going through over quick, fast and in hurry, you have to wait on God’s timing. And when you let patience have its perfect work in you, you will be perfect and complete in Christ. He’s taken you to that next level you didn’t know existed. Where you’re lacking nothing. Where you have influence. Where you experience exceedingly abundant blessings beyond what you could have asked for or thought. While you’re going through, be patient. God is at work and you’re going to like what you see in the end!

Endure.

Heavenly Father, I will count it all joy when I fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of my faith produces patience. I will let patience have its perfect work, that I may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
