From time to time I watch nature shows. Episodes that highlight predators versus prey always amazes me. The craftiness of the lioness when they hunt gazelles or witnessing the speed of the cheetah effortlessly catch… well, just about any and everything, captures my attention. One episode, a cheetah was on the hunt for a baby elephant. While the adult elephants could spot the cheetah from their experience and immediately dispersed, the baby elephant was clueless it was being hunted and was momentarily left alone until its mother came to fight off the cheetah. It stood between the baby elephant and the cheetah and fought the fierce cheetah until it realized it couldn’t win and left.

Your enemy is the same way. Satan will try to catch you off guard or attack you when you’re all alone. He will tell you that you can’t do what God has called you to do. He will tell you that you are a failure and no one loves you. That’s when you must realize your future is not in the devil’s hands, but is in the hands of the Lord. He will rescue you when Satan hunts you down relentlessly. Trust Jesus to protect you and hide you from the enemy. God will not leave you to fight on your own. He will fight your battles for you. So, when the hunt is on, and you feel the enemy is on your trail, remember that Jesus is with you and always there to rescue you.
