Graciously Gives All

He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?
— ROMANS 8:32 (NIV)

As a child I was blessed to have parents who loved and cared for me enough to make sure I had all I needed. I often heard the expression, “You must think money grows on trees!” and who knows; I probably did. Truth is, I didn’t think about where the money came from, or what they had to do to get it. I just knew if I ever needed something I could go to mom and dad. I didn’t realize the sacrifices they made by working extra hours and denying their own wants to satisfy my needs.

If your childhood was like mine or not, as believers you and I have at least one thing in common: Our Heavenly Father. God loves you so much that He sacrificed His only son so that you would have everything you needed and more. When God presented Jesus as His perfect sacrifice, He graciously gave you all you’ll ever need. When Christ was offered up for you, your salvation was released. Your peace was given. Your strength was manifested. Your financial freedom was granted. Your addictions destroyed. Your sin deceased. With Christ as your shepherd you shall not want or have a need unmet. God gave the life of His only Son so that you could have life.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so much that You sacrificed Your only Son so I’d live. I bless Your name for graciously giving me everything I need, most of all, Christ.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
