I used to be afraid of horror movies as a kid. The only reason I’m probably not afraid of them now is because they don’t make ‘em like they used to. We had iconic horror movies and characters that would leave you in fear days later after watching the movie. One way I would get over my fear, and be able to sleep through the night, was after watching a scary movie, I’d watch something more pleasant to take my mind off my fear. My mind changed, my fear was removed and now, I was able to rest easy void of scary thoughts.

Sometimes life can be a scary movie. You’re thinking about failed relationships, how many bills you have, if people really like you or what’s waiting for you around that dark, scary corner called tomorrow. If you’re living in fear today, seek the Lord to put your mind at ease. God will cancel out your fear by answering what’s troubling you. He will replace your fear with thoughts of love, joy and peace. Christ will deliver you from doubt, stress, anxiety and other tricks of the enemy, but it all starts with you seeking God first – in everything. Then, my friend, you can rest easy without living in fear.
