Making You Great

So He said, ‘I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.’
— GENESIS 46:3 (NKJV)

I was looking at my calendar this morning and there are so many things on it that I don’t want to do. There are errands to run, kids to pick up and drop off on opposite sides of town, meetings with various groups and a bunch of other stuff I’m sure I’m forgetting. When I look at all the places I have to go and things I have to do, I sometimes get overwhelmed, but that’s because I’m thinking about my plans instead of God’s plan.

Whatever you’re dreading to do or wherever you’re not looking forward to going today, remember God is with you. Whatever He allows you to do and wherever He allows you to go, God’s plan is always to make you great. He’s setting you up to be blessed when you least expect it or to be a blessing to someone in need. But if you’re too focused on “I hate doing this” or “I don’t want to go there,” there’s a good chance you may miss the greatness Jesus has prepared for you. Don’t fear what’s ahead for you. God is with you. And wherever He’s taking you or having you do, it’s to make you great!

It’s already done!

Heavenly Father, thank You for life. Thank You for the plans You have to make me great and giving me the ability to do things and go places. Wherever I go, You are with me, so I will have no fear in what’s ahead of me.  In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
