Got Haters?

Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers? Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
— PSALM 94:16 – 17 (NIV)

Anytime you’re living a positive, productive life, there will be some people that don’t like you. Whenever you contribute to society, in your own God-given way, you’re going to have some haters. Haters are good for you. They are necessary! They let you know when you’re doing something right in life, because if you weren’t doing anything with your life, haters wouldn’t have a reason to hate. As a believer, I’m sure you have people who consistently disagree with you, give you a hard time every single day or just hate you for sport. And that’s OK! Again, they’re doing their job and you should thank them every once in a while for it. After all, haters are one of the motivating factors that cause you to lean on the Lord for help and when you lean on the Lord for help, you become closer to God, wiser in God and blessed by God. And while you’re busy living life, God is busy handling your haters. He is rising up against the wicked for you. He is taking a stand against evildoers for you. So, you don’t have to address your haters beyond saying, “Thank you” and then be sure to keep doing what you’re doing for Christ.
