Win the Battle

It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You loved them.
— PSALM 44:3 (NIV)

Those who follow Christ will suffer persecution. Things won’t go your way every day. Every once in a while, you may have to cry. You may have to go in your secret closet and call on the name of Jesus because this particular fight in life has gotten the best of you. And when you do call His name, that’s when the best of you comes out and the battle is won.

You can’t win the battle by your own strength. You can’t win the battle by getting even with them and fighting them back. You can’t win the battle fighting cancer hoping and praying the doctor will figure it out. You can’t win the battle over your finances while envying what others have. You can’t win the battle by force or what feels right to you. You can only win the battle you’re facing through prayer and obedience. It doesn’t matter what your family says, friends, politicians or even church folk. Line up with Jesus and His word if you want to win the battle. He loves you and it is by His right hand, His arm and the light of His face that He will deliver you and present you victorious.

It’s not your battle

Heavenly Father, it’s not by my strength I will win the battle, but only by Your right hand, Your arm and the light of Your face that I will be victorious. Thank You for Your love. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
