Angels Are Everywhere

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
— HEBREWS 13:2 (NIV)

I was shopping for a bike in a local store and could not locate a salesperson to help me. I walked to the end of the aisle to pan the main walkway for help when I noticed three older employees walking in my direction. I looked over them for someone I thought would be more helpful to me when one stopped and asked if I needed help. Still, I asked if they could call someone to assist me with the bikes? They said, “Maybe I can help. What do you need?” I said, “I need to know the price of this bike.” The employee pulled out their scanner, scanned the barcode, and it was priced way out of my budget. I told them thanks and that I was looking for something priced lower. They asked, “What did you want to spend?” I told them my budget and the employee marked the cost down of the bike to meet my budget.

I’m not crazy! I acknowledge that that wasn’t anybody but God, but I nearly missed a blessing by judging someone on their outward appearance and what I thought would be their inability to help me.  Turns out, not only was this stranger able to help me, but blessed me above the help I thought I needed. Jesus will send strangers into your life to deliver His blessings to you. You never know what form they will come, how they will look or what they will say. This is why it’s important to show hospitality and the love of God to everyone, because you never know when you’ll encounter a messenger from God. Angels are everywhere. Be sure not to pass one by.

Treat everybody right
