Thoughts Become Things

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
— ROMANS 12:2 (NIV)

There’s an old saying that “Trouble don’t last always.” That may be true but hard to hear for those who always seem to have trouble following them. You pay down one bill, but you’re still in the shadow of debt. You get over a bad cold just in enough time for allergy season to start. You found love in a new relationship only to find out they found love too… in another relationship. You’re planning for a great day at work, but the officer that pulled you over on the way has other plans for you. If it’s not one thing, it’s the other. Why is this happening to you and only you?!

It’s not just you. Bad things happen to all of us, but you do have some say in the matter. You have to change your thinking, by renewing your mind. Then you will be able to witness God’s will towards you. You see, thoughts become things. When you think bad thoughts they manifest in your life. Don’t even say the word debt. Don’t pray to get out of debt. Instead, pray God’s blessings and wealth into and over your life. Stopping praying about your illness and pray that you’re already healed. Transformation happens when you stop doing the old you and start progressing toward the new you. All actions start with a thought. Positive thinking gets positive results. Make an effort today to not conform to your normal routine that keeps you where you are, but to think outside the box by speaking power, life and love over your life using God’s word and not negative thinking.

What are you thinking?

Heavenly Father, I’m done conforming to the pattern of this world and my routine. Today I choose to be transformed by renewing my mind so I will be able to test and approve Your good, pleasing and perfect will. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
