Christmas Time and New Year’s can be joyous occasions. Some people find joy in shopping and checking gifts off their list and visiting loved ones, while others may enjoy the fresh snow fall and traditionally decorating their tree. And though we may be enjoying, and spreading, holiday cheer, there are some people experiencing hurt. Some people are reminded this time of year of the loss of a loved one. Others may be losing their job or not sure there will be a Christmas dinner this year. In these times, we must remember God’s love and that He has not forgotten about us.

God chose you and He didn’t bring you this far in life to leave you. You may be experiencing pain, hurt or uncertainty, but fear not, because God is with you. God will strengthen you in your time of need. Have faith that He will help you through the valley you’re experiencing. Whatever you’re going through, you’re still in His hand and in that hand is protection, provision and peace. Claim God’s favor in and over your life. Remind yourself that He chose you and that God is always with you. He loves you and will always uphold you with His righteous right hand.
