Times When You Can't

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
— 2 CORINTHIANS 12:10 (NIV)

You’re human. You have feelings. You have concerns. There’s going to be times in life when you just can’t. You’re going to cry. You’re going to feel like giving up. You’re going to be at your wits end. Times when you can’t get over the death of a loved one. The time you don’t want to go through your divorce alone. You’re tired of being passed over for promotions. You don’t know how this month’s bills are going to be paid. You’re exhausted. You’re weary. You’re weak. And you know what?  That’s the perfect time for God to show himself strong on your behalf.

Too many times have you relied on your own strength to get through or over a situation in life, but time and time again, it doesn’t quite work out. The world taught you that you shouldn’t admit when you’re weak. I suggest that if you never acknowledge your weakness, you’ll never witness God’s strength. When you are weak, Christ will show Himself strong on your behalf. That’s when you can lose a love one and still face tomorrow. That’s when you can cry and still live life. You’re relying on God’s infinite strength and not your finite strength. In the times when you can’t do it on your own, realize you weren’t designed to. You were created to rely on God’s strength and power. Therefore, delight in your weaknesses knowing when you are weak, you are strong in Christ.

Supernatural strength awaits you

Heavenly Father, I delight in my weaknesses, for when I am weak, I am strong in You. Forgive me for trying to do life without You. I need Your strength. I need Your power. I claim them today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
